Apply to the iMSA Program
The iMSA program welcomes students with a bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline, subject to certain business background prerequisites specified under Admissions Requirements below. Take a moment to review our admission requirements below and begin your application.
Applications go through the University’s regular graduate admissions website, but admissions decisions are made by a dedicated iMSA team. Because of the expected strength of the entire applicant pool, the review process is likely to extend over a period of time, but admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. If you have not yet heard back from us, you should assume that your application is still under consideration. Applicants are notified in writing and through e-mail as soon as the admission decision is made.
Admission to the iMSA program requires a Bachelor’s degree in any academic discipline from an accredited institution in the United States or the international equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree.
In addition, applicants must have a minimum academic background in business. In general, we expect applicants to have completed a course in business management along with a one or two course sequence in principles of accounting. For these requirements, college course credit or a certificate of completion from a known online course provider is accepted. If you are missing any prerequisites please visit the Admissions FAQ page or contact us to request a list of recommended courses.
GPA and Test Scores
The recommended undergraduate GPA is 3.0/4.0, or the U.S. equivalent, from the final two years of undergraduate study.
GMAT or GRE scores are required, but may be waived if you have at least three years of relevant, full-time professional experience, with demonstrated career progression or a graduate degree from an accredited institution. To apply for a GMAT waiver please submit this form.
English Proficiency Requirement
All applicants whose native language is not English must take the Internet-Based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test.
